Miyako

My friend Iza and I love food and long dinner conversations, so obviously we have fun get togethers. A couple of weeks ago, we decided to meet up for Friday Mass at Holy Rosary and then have dinner together. The first place place we headed off to for one of our Friday nights was a favorite of ours, Miyako’s. I don’t think there’s a sushi place in the world that can beat Miyako’s happy hour menu, 50% off of certain specialty rolls, regular sushi rolls, and sashimi. Iza and I can eat…and eat we did.

Apparently Zagat has rated Houston restaurants and Miyako’s made the cut, so we had to wait for a bit to get a table. We ended up eating in the Japanese table area, where you have to take off your shoes and sit at a table that puts you basically at floor level. We ordered so much food that it was a bit of trick getting everything to fit on the table. As soon as we finished off one roll, another one was waiting for a place at our table or we just combined plates. We were happily stuffed. ^^
