Joongdae Winter Camp

The first “week” of district winter camp at Joongdae Elementary has finished and as always there are amusing stories. I have to admit it makes me happy when my students from Singa Elementary, students that I had during the last district summer at Joongdae Elementary, and first time students that just simply like me yell out, ‘hi Karen teacher!’ whenever they see me in the halls.

Today we made stick puppets (with the not so always accomplished end goal of having several puppetries being performed) and let the students’ imaginations run free. So there were interesting aliens, monster snowmen, cutesy animals, killer vegetables, bleeding ghosts, murderous samauris running amok in my class.

The best moment when some of the Class 5 students were asking me: ‘Teacher puppet blood. More, more blood?’ ‘Bloodier’ ‘My ghost bloodier you snow!’

Hopefully I’ll take some pictures of the kids during the last couple of days.
