For Shauna’s birthday, we headed to Everest Restaurant in Yeongdeungpo for a Nepalese/Indian/Tibetian dinner. I’d been to the one in Dongdaemun with Erin and Melissa before.
This one is bigger than the one in Dongdaemun and not as decorated, but it was a bit more relaxed. I had samosas and lamb do piaza, lamb, sliced onions, sliced tomatoes, and spices in a tomato based curry with nan.
Shauna had a huge American-style birthday cake with her name and big frosting flowers.
During dinner in addition to great conversations, Paul’s wonderful jokes 😉 and catching up on everyone’s lives, Shauna had a slideshow prepared from her recent trip to India. Apparently Colonel Sanders’ original recipe chicken is the same as traditional Indian fried chicken, who knew?
